This year at St. Kevin’s Community College we introduced a fashion module in TY with the help of our art teacher Ms. Gallagher. A student who stood out in the fashion class was Alexa Alexandrina who had a vision from the very beginning, came to class with sketches and each week proved her dedication and determination to enter Junk Kouture Recycled Fashion Competition. The whole school community were excited to see her compete in the Junk Kouture National Final on Thursday 4th May. 80 designs from all over the country  were chosen to perform at the National Final, all competing for the grand prize; a place in The World Final in London. We are so proud of Alexa who has earned her place in The World Final with her design ‘Fallen Angel’. We can’t wait to continue our Junk Kouture Journey in London in October! Alexa’s design is made from old sheets, foil and playing cards.
