Message to 6th Year Students – Monday February 22nd 2021
Good afternoon everyone.
We hope you are well and continuing with your school work. Please ensure you take appropriate breaks and look after yourselves too; this is important. We would like to encourage you all to keep up with your studies and attend your online classes. We know there is a lot of speculation on social media, online, in newspapers and radio. Please know that you should only listen to official communications from us here in school; either by looking at updates on our website, texts to parents/guardians from school or reading messages such as this one. There is a lot of discussion around returning to school, LC orals/practicals/written papers and calculated/accredited grades. NONE of this has been communicated officially to us by the DES yet and when it does we will hold a full year group assembly to let you know what you need to know. For now though, please continue to attend your online classes and do the best work that you can.

We know that the official Junior Cycle exams have been cancelled, but there will still be a school cert issued to each of you with your results. This is to acknowledge the hard work you have put in over the past 3 years. To explain what is happening, we will hold an online Assembly at 2.20pm on Tuesday with Ms Burke and your tutors to update you. For now, continue with your online classes and do the best work you can.
