Wellbeing includes social, emotional, physical, spiritual, intellectual and environmental aspects. Learning in Wellbeing focuses on the students’ journey across all aspects of wellbeing. Six indicators describe what is important for young people’s wellbeing.
- Active
- Responsible
- Connected
- Resilient
- Respected
- Aware
These indicators are not seen as goals or targets to be reached. The journey towards wellbeing is never complete. We are all on this journey, students, teachers, parents and guardians.
Anxiety
Anxiety is a common feeling that everyone experiences at some stage. It can be a normal emotional response to many stressful situations.
Anxiety is also a natural, understandable emotional response that can help us prepare for challenges. These could be sitting an exam or worrying about a potentially awkward social occasion.
Another way of dealing with Anxiety is to Practice Gratitude every day

Boundaries
Boundaries are the personal limits that we set with other people. They demonstrate what we think is acceptable, or unacceptable, in peoples’ behaviour towards us. Establishing boundaries can be a way of protecting ourselves from being hurt by others.
Circumstances like Covid 19 can create new boundaries for people. These can be about social distancing or travel risks that they are willing to take.
