5th and 6th year art students had a tour of the prestigious Andy Warhol Exhibition in the Hugh Lane Gallery today. The exhibition, Andy Warhol: Three Times Out took 5 years to plan and comprised of over 200 artworks from all over the world. Our guides were incredibly knowledgeable and really brought the artwork to life for us. The exhibition acknowledges Warhol’s unparalleled contribution to contemporary art and presents an overview of the diversity of his work over the decades. From his iconic Campbell’s soup Cans and mesmerizing Marilyn Monroe portraits to his contemplation on identity and morality, Andy Warhol: Three Times Out reflects on the breadth and depth of Warhol’s artistic genius.
